ABOUT THE PROJECT

This project showcases the creativity and precision behind Central Precast’s custom site furnishing solutions. As part of the Aberdeen Street reconstruction and revitalization, the City of Kingston sought durable, attractive elements to enhance the streetscape — and our team delivered with a series of custom precast planters featuring a distinctive accent wave pattern.

Using a ¾" Aqua Wave form liner from Dayton Superior, each planter was cast with a textured finish that adds depth and movement to the concrete surface. The result is a cohesive design element that complements the modernized urban environment while providing the strength and longevity expected from precast concrete.

The custom shape and profile of the planters, along with the use of high-quality materials and careful detailing, made this project a standout example of how functional infrastructure can also serve as a design statement. Produced over an eight-week timeline, the planters were specified for their durability, aesthetic appeal, and low maintenance requirements, aligning perfectly with the city’s long-term goals for the project.

The Aberdeen Street Reconstruction project highlights Central Precast’s expertise in creating tailored precast solutions that bring design intent to life — proving that even small-scale urban features can make a lasting impact on community spaces.
