CONCRETE FINISHER

Overview

The primary responsibilities of this position are primarily working with concrete and reinforced steel for precast concrete structures. This is a demanding job that requires good physical condition and the ability to maintain high attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. Concrete finishing experience is required.

 

Responsibilities

  • Collecting materials, assembling cages, setting up casts, and pouring concrete
  • Raking, tamping, and leveling poured concrete
  • Cleaning and oiling concrete moulds
  • Applying screed finish to concrete
  • Transporting raw materials throughout the plant manually

Overview

Your main responsibility as a construction onsite foreman will be to manage the site and represent the group to the contractor and client. We’re searching for a motivated, meticulous, and problem-solving professional who will also closely work with the project manager.

 

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate site precast/subcontractor tasks and deliveries according to priorities and plans
  • Identify and resolve job and personnel problems by analyzing, investigating, recommending and implementing required actions
  • Ensure installation activities/tasks are properly coordinated on time and to quality standards
  • Responsible for daily and weekly planning and scheduling of work activities
  • Ensure the precast layout is accurate before the start of installation

Introduction and Purpose of Position

The goal of a workplace Health and Safety Officer (HSO) is to maintain a safe working environment for all employees of a business. Health and Safety Officer is responsible for implementing occupational health and safety regulations in the workplace. The HSO’s main aim is to prevent accidents, injuries and work­ related illnesses in the workplace by promoting safety awareness among employees in the workplace.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with HR to identify other related safety concerns

Inside Sales Representative

Overview

The Inside Sales Rep position is a frontline position with extensive interaction with customers, co-workers, drivers, yard and plant personnel. This position also ensures that customers are serviced in a courteous and attentive manner and that orders and purchases are handled properly, accurately and in a timely fashion.

  • Assist customers at the counter and over the phone including

The sandblaster position is required for one of the final stages of precast concrete production. This individual will be required to use sandblastings techniques to finish precast elements. The applicant must have a good eye for consistency. Knowledge of compressors and sandblasting techniques is an asset.

Skilled Labourer

Overview

Skilled Labourers are responsible for aiding in all areas of the precast plant. They are
responsible for collecting materials, assembling cages, setting up forms and concrete
placing. They participate in general housekeeping and other various tasks throughout the
plant. A high level of safety practices must be used at all times.

 

Responsibilities

  • Receive oral instructions to determine work assignments
  • Perform physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials
  • Position or dismantle forms for pouring concrete
  • Transport raw materials, finished products and equipment throughout plant manually or using powered equipment
  • Assist machine operators, Crane Operators and other labourers as required

Welders are primarily responsible for building and welding the wire forms that are used for concrete production. They participate in general housekeeping and other various tasks throughout the plant. A high level of safety practices must be used at all times.
