ABOUT THE PROJECT
Another Amazon project in the books. Partnering with Ledcor Group, we took on the engineering, fabrication, and installation of insulated, prestressed precast panels for this massive single-story facility. The panels were designed as composite panels to eliminate the need for any mid-girt structure. They provided a clear span from foundation to roof structure, reaching a maximum height of 45' 6" and providing an impressive R20 insulation value. With both durability and thermal efficiency, our panels were the perfect fit for creating a solid, and energy-efficient exterior cladding. The panels were stained on-site after installation with Amazon’s specific branding.
After the initial installation was complete, Amazon requested an extra overhead door opening. No problem! Our team modified the existing setup, removed a panel, and installed a new one with a door opening. From start to finish, production for this project was 15 weeks, and installation took just over 4 weeks. All in all, the Amazon DYT3 project really showcased the benefits of using Central Precast’s insulated precast panels to meet demanding project needs with speed, strength, and versatility.
