The Municipality of West Elgin needed an insulated building to house equipment for a pumping station. Since the building was going to be between two residential homes in a subdivision, they wanted to ensure it blended in with the surroundings. Central Precast knew that a precast modular building would provide the flexibility to guarantee both insulation and a custom finish. In just four days, Central Precast designed and manufactured an insulated (R10) modular building with simulated split-face block and simulated brick pattern wall panels, along with a gable-end style roof. One day later, the installation was complete – with the brick pattern stained a two tone red, and the roof stained brown – in keeping with the rest of the residential neighbourhood. The walls consisted of insulated precast panels, and the roof panels were solid precast with interior insulation and a metal corrugated finish which was installed on site.
