ABOUT THE PROJECT

The Ward 4 development in Oakville, ON included a 5.26-acre park to provide space for leisure and nature in the Town. The Town needed a washroom design that fits seamlessly with the splash pad and other park features. We engineered and delivered a precast modular building divided into three spaces: two washrooms and a utility room. As well as ensuring the finish matched the park’s aesthetic, we also applied an anti-graffiti sealer on the wall panels and doors to increase longevity. The wall panels consisted of a simulated split face block pattern stained three colors on the bottom, with a simulated brick pattern stained three colors on the top panels. The two portions were divided by a horizontal band simulating a sill. For the roof panels, we created a simulated metal finish which was stained charcoal. Production took two weeks and installation was complete after only two days. Town of Oakville residents now has a practical and durable solution for the essential facilities they need to enjoy their new park space.
