ABOUT THE PROJECT

The City of London needed a post-disaster design for a pump station. We knew that a modular building would provide the stability, insulation, and finish they were looking for. We designed a structural insulated precast modular building, including an insulated roof and walls. Within 10 days the building was engineered and fabricated, along with windows and doors. We installed the building on site in three days, welding all connections and installing roof flashings. After another two days the doors and windows were complete. The wall panels are insulated (R10) with a simulated split face block pattern in a grey mix design on the bottom portion. A simulated sill divides the bottom and upper portions, with a simulated brick pattern on the upper portion in the same grey. The roof panels are also insulated (R10) with a simulated metal finish stained black. The use of precast insulated panels meant the City of London got a new pump station which meets thermal requirements and provides a maintenance-free life span.
